Hello, I was wondering if anyone can help with a weird issue we are having with Outlook 2013.

Environment :

XenDesktop VDI

Appsense Profiles

Windows 7

Office 2013

ProLaw Application

When inside the ProLaw Application you can send attachments from it and it sends a MAILTO to Outlook 2013. The New Mail message comes up, fills in all the proper fields, i.e. To, CC, Subject, Body. When I try and send the message I get the following error :  The operation failed. The messaging interfaces have returned an unknown error. if the problem persists, restart outlook. If I try and save the email message to drafts I get the following error : This item is no longer valid because it has been closed. However it does actually save in my Drafts folder. Now here is the kicker, if I send the email from my Drafts folder it sends just fine to the existing recipients in the origional mail message that was passed through via MAILTO from the ProLaw Application. I have tried all fixes that the operation failed showed me via web crawling, profile resets etc.. but to no avail. Has anyone else had issues like this?

Deleting a Outlook Calendar

I have 2 IMAP accounts and 1 POP account.  When I click on "Calendar" at the bottom of the Outlook page I get "My Calendars" and it shows 2 calendars.  The first calendar is my my calendar where I want all of my appointments and shows as "Calendar" and it is used to sync with Gmail.  The second calendar is showing as "Calendar (This computer only)" and I do not want it at all, how do I delete it.  When I set up my accounts that second calendar was not there but I must have done something to make it appear. Somehow the second calendar sometimes gets appointments which messes me up.

Please advise

Outlook 2010 configuration

Hi All,

  • My PC has Windows 10. and I've got Office 2007 besides, I'm using a lot of time the Gmail.
  • I've configured the Outlook to that account as POP3 and it worked correctly (i.e. downloaded all of the emails beside the Sent items.) The main problem is/was that it didn't downloaded the sent mails since I've first used the gmail account.
  • I've configured the Outlook again as IMAP/SMTP and it seems that it has all of the mails, but it works very slow.
  • Is there a way to enjoy the velocity of the POP3 and the mails of the IMAP/SMTP?

Thanks,

Shimon.

I have a end user that gave up his MAC for a PC.  He has an iPhone and iPad that has a ton of contacts that he wants to sync up with Outlook.  he does not want to lose any of his contacts on this iPhone/iPad.  he does not want to sync the contacts in Outlook to the iPhone/iPad... just from iPhone/iPad to Outlook.  I no clue as to how I would do this.  he said his contacts were synced to Outlook for Mac and wants it the same way.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance.

Hello,

After saveguarding .pst files, I reinstalled W7 PRO 64 from scratch (without Office 2007), then do W10 upgrade, then reinstall Office 2007.

Problem with Outlook, is that I can't open W7 saveguarded .pst files (note I can open the Outlook application and create account(s) with W10). File's access rights looks fine (full access) for the user (admin).

Thanks for your reply or suggestions to solve this issue.

Frustration personified!

I recently upgraded my new Surface 3 to Windows 10 from 8.1. Now, when I attempt to setup my Gmail account in Outlook 2013, I get error messages. I have tried logging into my account through my server and it works fine. I have used Captcha and that doesn't work either.  I've read many similar posts but most appear to be for older versions of Windows. Any suggestions?

Office Outlook 2010 not sending

I just upgraded to Windows 10 and Outlook 2010 does not send - the e-mails simply sit in the outbox. Prior to the upgrade (Windows 8.1) Outlook worked without any problems. Incoming e-mails are still working OK. I have spoken to my ISP, deleted and rebuilt my profile; same problem. Checked my Wife's e-mail (same desktop) and the problem is the identical. Not sure what to make of it - anyone got any ideas please??

The Outbox in Outlook has ceased to work.  Windows was installed approximately two weeks ago; the Outbox functioned well, then on Tuesday (19th of Aug) the Outbox ceased to function.  I have had two IT expert try to get it to function but without success.  The second It expert(?) was the Telstra help.  As anyone found a procedure to overcome this problem?

I don't like to sound like a dunce, but I fried my last computer, had to re-purchase Microsoft Office as I've lost my original disks, and I can't find my office email; the one where you can flag for follow ups, watch your appointments etc.

Can someone please tell me what it's called and why it's not part of my new Office - I can't organise my life without it - LOL, but partly serious.

Thanks,

Tanz.

Recently upgraded from 2003 to 2013 and now the Outlook junk email function isn't functioning.  I set the level to "high" but it's not working at all.  The second issue is a duplicate set of Personal Folders that I don't know how to get rid of.  I read somewhere about setting up new email accounts, but am worried that I might not be able to access my personal folders if I do that.

Office have a hard time auto-detecting English written language and identifying other languages (Norwegian - Bokmai) in this case, when local keyboard is set to English/the same language.

For ex: in word/outlook if my proofing is set to Norwegian and the same language is installed on my machine. When i type words, it does not auto-detect

Disable Outlook reminder of saving attachments

In the lastest versions of Outtlook, each time you open an attachment, if you then close the email without closing the attachment, then outlook sends a warning saying "The attachment filename.ext is open. Don't forget to save the file if you made any changes". Is there a way to disable this annoying warning that is only usefull for making me waste my time? I find this kind of warnings as rubbish. The fact that some people might not understand how an attachment works doesn't mean that Outlook has to send me a warning every single time this happens. It is not the only annoying warning, but the most useless and frequent.

I use Outlook 2013 to manage my mail.

Messages stick in my outbox since I have upgraded to Windows 10.  I have not changed any of my settings.

I have run a repair the Network connection fails and the message is "Outlook cannot discover setting for your account because a network connection could not be established."

I am connected to a Network.  My Outlook account is not set to offline.  I do receive messages.

The server connection was established automatically when I set the account up on WIndows 8.  The server address is "dub404-m.hotmail.com"

How do I resolve this?

When replying or forwarding an email Outlook 2013 adds full email address after name instead of name only.

Figure 1 - as it is now:

Figure 2 - as it should look like:

I'd like to get rid of the <xxx.xxx @contoso.com> at all. I've already created new profile in Mail in Control Panel. Unfortunately without success. All accounts are within my organization but Outlook seems to treat them as outside organization.

I am unable to add e-mails to my Tasks in Outlook 2013. When I drag an e-mail to Task in the navigation bar, I get an error message saying "Cannot move items". This has started after I upgraded to Window 10.

I am using an IMAP account on Outlook

Any solution?
