Removing Email List in Outlook 2010

On User A's Outlook profile is another shared mail address forUser B. Recently User B has left the company and where a member if the IT dept. has deleted the profile in AD (the mailbox is gone as well). User A still see's the email of User B and cannot remove from the list. We have gone through File Tab>Account Settings>E-Mail Tab and User B's email is not listed. We have also Right Clicked on the desired email and selectedRemove "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" and the following message reads: This group of folders is associated with an-email account. To remove the account, click the File Tab, and on the Info tab, click Account Settings, Select the e-mail account, and then click Remove. Well.....if the e-mail account is not listed how can we remove from the folder list?

I do apologize for the bad resolution of the images.

Exporting Mail to another mailbox

Hi, I'm looking for a powershell script to move mail from my journal mail box in Exchange 2010 which has over 1.5m emails to another mailbox with date range using New-MailboxExportRequest

Using PSTs are not an option as 1 month can easily exceed 50GB.

I know this can be done as the company who managed our company previously done it using a powershell script.

I appreciate any help you can give.

Some appointments created in Outlook on Surface RT never sync

$

I have Outlook 2013 on Surface RT syncing against an @hotmail.com account (which is my one and only Microsoft account). When a calendar item is created in Outlook on Surface RT, sometimes the appointment becomes "orphaned" on the Surface RT: it does not sync to the cloud backend, so never shows up in Outlook.com or on my Windows Phone or on other PCs running Outlook. Appointments created anywhere other than in Outlook on Surface RT do not exhibit this behavior (i.e. they sync as one would expect) so this appears to be unique to Outlook 2013 on Surface RT.

I can force an orphaned appointment to sync by editing it (e.g. changing the start time) in Outlook on Surface RT and it then syncs (immediately). However, that same appointment will "disappear" from everywhere except Outlook 2013 on Surface RT within a couple of days (as if the sync is "undone" for that appointment, and again the appointment is orphaned on the Surface RT). Forcing a send/receive has no effect. The status bar in Outlook reports "All folders up-to-date" even though this is demonstrably incorrect. There are no entries in the Sync Issues folder or the Conflicts or Local Failures sub-folders.

I suspect the problem relates to appointments which are created by copying and pasting another appointment (which I do often), and/or when several appointments are created in rapid succession (e.g. creating ~15 new appointments in ~10 minutes) but I have not been able to consistently reproduce this (and, it does not happen with all appointments in any case). That might be a red herring. I mention it only because it is probably not a common usage pattern.

What I've already tried:

  1. Refreshed Windows. No effect.
  2. Deleted *.ost files and let everything sync from the cloud again. No effect (other than, of course, losing the appointments that were orphaned in the local .ost file). When I recreate the appointments, all appear to sync. But within a few weeks, the issue recurs with some (but not all) newly created appointments.

I am at the point of giving up on my Surface RT unless this problem can be resolved. Running all the latest Windows and Office updates.

Thanks,

dofzin

Migrating an IMAP email account from outlook 2010 to outlook 365

Hi,

I have been using Outlook 2010 to get my email via IMAP to my own domain.  It used to work OK.  I today installed Office 365, and all my old mail is there but something strange has happen to the inbox; it is completely empty; all the folders inside show up but the actual mail in the inbox does not.  I am able to send email, it shows as sent in the sent mail folder, and if I log onto my server the email is there but, the email never comes to the inbox in outlook 365.  Something is not right and I don't know what.  Any suggestion where to look?  I made sure the server ports are the same and outlook test email is also delivered correctly; it just does not show in the outlook inbox.  ????????????????????????

I appreciate any ideas.

Cannot delete RSS Feed on Win7, Outlook 2013, IE 11 (64bit) Computer

I cannot delete an RSS feed. Can anyone help?

Computer details:

Windows 7, SP1, 64bit

Outlook 2013, SP1, running in 64bit mode

Internet Explorer 11, Enhanced Protected Mode enabled

I removed the feed from all these sources, yet it continues to appear and update in the RSS Feeds folder in Outlook 2013:

1. Outlook, deleted the feed folder in the RSS Feeds folder in the Navigation pane

2. Outlook, account settings, RSS Feeds tab, removed from list

3. Internet explorer, Feeds tab, deleted from list

4. C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Feeds, deleted FeedsStore.feedsdb-ms file and the *.feed-ms file

5. C:\Users\...\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Feeds Cache, deleted the cache files

After all of that, the RSS feed reappears in Outlook and in IE Feeds tab.

Could anyone instruct me on how to permanently delete the RSS feed from my computer?

Please try the suggestions before posting.

Thanks.

Shared Outlook contacts not displaying

We have a shared Exchange addressbook with distribution email groups.

When someone connects to the shared addressbook, composes an email to a group, the email distribution list is empty.

In troubleshooting, I noticed that when we expand the distribution list to view the recipients, most of the recipients are missing and only semicolons appear.

Further troubleshooting, I notice that when I open the distribution list with my Outlook client and click on the Update Now icon, and then go to create the email then when I expand the group the email addresses now appear.

Now, my Outlook profile is a cached profile.  The shared contact list that I pulled the distribution list from is an online/non-cached shared contact list.

What I also found is that if I switched my Outlook client to be online only(not cached) the share address book lists appear properly when expanded.

Is there any way to make this list appear correctly without having to click on update now for each and every distribution list in the shared contacts list we have on the server?

I would really prefer that every time one wants to use this shared contact list, they do not have o click the update not button or switch from cached mode to make this work.

Outlook for Exchange won't update after import of pst files

Dear community members,

Good to be here. In a slow internet environment I had set users to use pop for their email in outlook. Recently the provider's smtp server stopped due to attack and we were asked to revert to MS Exchange for Outlook. So I had to import pst file to my users newly created exchange accounts.

After all import were successfull, They can now send but new emails cannot be loaded, you can see them thourgh webmail but Outlook keeps on saying "waiting to update" and one day can passes without downloading even a single email.

You can see through webmail that it updates itself even with emails imported from pst but outlook wont update with new emails. What can I do to make this process quicker? is there free smtp servers I can use so that maybe I can revert my user's back to pop? Your help will be appriciated.

Thanks,

Olivier

Unable to add attachments in Outlook 2013 (Win 7) from WebDAV share to SharePoint online

Hi all,

I have a bit of a strange problem regarding adding attachments in Outlook 2013 on Windows 7. Here's the situation:

The user that has this problem is working locally. She has a network drive setup that points to the Teamsite of SharePoint online. Also, the user has no problems accessing the network drive. The user is working in Outlook 2013 with the same account that is authenticating in Internet Explorer and the network drive.

However, when she tries to drag and drop a file that is located on the SharePoint Online network drive (WebDAV) via Explorer to a new e-mail in Outlook 2013 she receives an error which says that she does not have the required permissions.

I've searched the forums for this one but haven't found a solution so far. Can somebody help me out?

Kind regards,

Martijn

Reading emails with images is extremely slow in Outlook 2010

Within the last week or so I have noticed a decrease in speed in reading my pop3 emails with images. It worked fine up until this issue. It just seems like it hangs until it loads the images in the emails. I could turn image loading off but like to see it. I am pretty good at saving and organizing my emails into folders. My outlook pst file size is 182 mbs and my email pst file size is 133 mbs. This seems reasonable sizes but not sure. I cleanup the deleted files. I tried archiving but could not figure out how to archive my personal folders. I tried repairing Outlook with no luck. As an example: I have approx. 25 emails in my inbox and would select a file to read and it would eventually show up after a few seconds depending on how many images. I would select the next file and it would have a delay then go back to the first one viewed and it would have a longer delaly then previous. It sucks because when trying to clean up my mailbox it takes forever. Any Ideas?

Graphics not downloading in received emails using Outlook 2010

Alt-F1 stopped maximimizing/minimizing navigation pane

I have emails open and journal tasks being timed.   I could restart Outlook, and the problem might be solved, but that would be a royal "pane" (pun intended).

Has anyone else run into the irresponsiveness to Alt-F1, and is there a fix to prevent it from recurring?  Or is this just another step down in migrating from 2003 to 2010?

P.S. It looks like 2010 has not solved the problem of hijacking your computer when you copy and paste text from a webpage to the message body.  All the more terrible because the fast keyboard shortcut for paste-special has been removed.

Hey everyone...

I brought this up to Support, but I have not heard back.   I have an odd issue.

It seems that my facebook plug-in, is showing someone not in my list of friends. i would not have paied much attention to it, but its attached to yahoo-services email.

the problem is persistant, and is fully duplicatable.    and it only showed up on this email.   the email appears to be authentic.

Is this an isolated issue to my system? is it a fluke or a bug?

thanks.  Scott

Add custom ribbon option to change message format to HTML on inline replies

$

Hello,

I'd like to add the ability to change the format of a message to the inline responses on Outlook 2013.  If I pop out the message, I can click HTML or Rich Text to change the format from Plain Text, however I don't see that option when the reply window is inline.

I have tried to customize the ribbon to add the HTML and Rich Text buttons under a custom group, but those options are to open a new compose window and not change the existing message format.

Any ideas out there? I love the new inline replies, but internal system messages are often sent in ugly plain text, and my inability to change the format inline pretty much negates this feature.

Hello,

I work for an IT management company, and recently one of our clients has been having an issue. When she receives email for people on the same domain as she is, Outlook 2010(and the web app) both automatically filter it to a folder labeled "Junk". The "Junk" folder is different than the Junk Email folder.

When I tried to add her domain to the safe senders list, it gave me the error.

I have also tried repeatedly to search for any kind of rule or redirector that would be causing this. I haven't found any rules yet, on Outlook or OWA, for her account and also on the Exchange Admin Center.

I have tried racking my brain to come up with a solution, all to no avail.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
