I would like to delete messages from my inbox, but maintain them in a deleted file for later reference. Currently, any message removed from the inbox is lost. How do I set up the properties of a folder to maintain them?

How to personalize reading panes in Outlook 2013, where 2 different users share the same mail account in O365
A company is using O365, with Outlook 2013 on their clients. Two people added a general account to their accountlist in Outlook 2013, which is used for "sales". For example, customers can send questions to this "sales" mail account and both employees can read the mail and answer the customer from that acoount.
My question is the following.
Both employees would like to have a different reading pane/lay-out. At this moment, if the first user change his view (in his Outlook client) to the view he likes, the second user see a change of his view too. The first person like to see the preview pane, the second don't... If the second change the view again to the one he likes, the first person will lose his prefered view.
I can't see any options to personalize the views at this account in Outlook or elsewhere in O365 for both people seperately. Is it possible anyway? If yes, how?

Automatically appear as Busy to all calendar requests without 24 hours notice?
I don't know if this is currently possible in Outlook, but if it isn't I'd like to propose it. I would like to be able to set up a free/busy rule that automatically makes me appear as busy to anyone trying to schedule an appointment with me within the next 24 hours. So if I sign off on a Tuesday night and someone tries to schedule a meeting at 9am Wednesday morning - rejected.
My business does not observe normal 9-5 hours. I am supposed to be available for meetings any time during normal waking hours, unless I have a specific conflict. It is supremely irritating to go get some dinner and find that someone has scheduled a new meeting for the second I get back, when I was planning on making calls, writing reports, etc.
Right now the only work around is for me to mark the entire next day as one big tentative appointment before I sign off for the night. Does anyone have a better solution?

Outlook 2007 contacts not synching with Outlook.com
I have Outlook 2007 on my laptop, and am using the Outlook connector (32 bit, ver. 14.0.6123.5001) to synch to Outlook.com. Email and calendar seem to work OK, but contacts do not synch correctly. I guess this worked correctly at some point, because I do have a good proportion of my laptop based contacts on Outlook.com, but not all of them, and if I add a new one (to the laptop application), I will see an "updating contact" message (don't remember the exact wording) during a synch, but the contact is not in the contact list on Outlook.com.
If I look at the Server Status "Detailed Report" after the latest synch for the account, it shows no errors:
Mail: Last successfully refreshed at 10:52 AM.
Calendar: Last successfully refreshed at 10:52 AM.
Contacts: Last successfully refreshed at 10:52 AM.
Any thoughts?

Outlook 2010 - Removing privacy mark from meeting, attendees not updated
My company has experienced an issue where a user created a meeting, and had it marked as private. When she later removed the privacy mark from the meeting, it did not update on any of the other attendee's calendars (the other attendees still showed the meeting as Private). The IT staff attempted to replicate this by creating a sample meeting, again marking it as Private, and sending the request. After attendees had accepted, the originator then removed the Privacy mark from the meeting, and clicked Send Update. The attendees received the update and clicked No Response Required, but their meetings still showed as Private. Is this a known issue, and is there a workaround?

How can I save attachment in an email into a specific folder in C: Drive. I get reports in excel sheet on daily basis and I have to do a automated process where I can save those attachments into a specific folders in C: DRIVE. Right now I am doing it manually and I hate it.

Managing Shared Calendar with many users
Hi,
I am in a department with about a dozen people. They have been wanting some kind of shared departmental calendar system, and so I set up a shared calendar in Outlook, giving everyone an Author-level permissions. Everyone is using Microsoft Exchange.
The problem is that people are objecting to what they see as an imposition... having to enter appointments on their own personal Outlook calendars, then again on the department calendar... even though the department one is more of an electronic in/out board... if someone is going to be gone for more than half a day, it should be noted on the this calendar, as opposed to individual appointments.
Regardless, they want a solution where where if they list an appointment on one calendar, it automatically copies over to the group one. They also added on a requirement that conference rooms and other resources could be booked via this calendar. The solutions I have tried to come up with are:
- Everyone shares their personal Outlook calendar with me, giving me Editor access, and I copy/paste appropriate info to the department calendar. This has been rejected as being a) cumbersome and b) invasive
- Finding a third-party software solution. I have tried to research some possibilities, but there are just so many out there... and many of them seem to be primarily for scheduling employee work shifts, not for reflecting appointments and when rooms and other
resources might already be booked. This solution might also be rejected because they don't want to really pay for anything (or else not pay very much).
Is Outlook capable of doing a calendar this complicated? If not, is there a good alternative program that anyone can recommend.
Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Everyone right now is sharing their calendars with each other willy-nilly (because they are not very clear on the concept) and it's getting a little (more) confusing around here.

How do I change the default folder for sent mail
I am really not loving outlook 2013 - it has lost so many features.
I am using outlook 2013 / office 365 on a Microsoft Surface, Windows 8.1, email is Hotmail.com
I am no longer able to create or send to a distribution list. What is up with that?
I do not want to save every email I send but I have now wasted 7 hours of Microsoft Support time and none of the technicians was able to help me. I have set the mail options to "Do not save" in outlook and in Hotmail but it still saves every email I send. If I cannot turn off that feature (and why have the option if it doesn't work???) how do I can the default folder so I can save those emails I do want to the correct folder and delete everything else.
Microsoft's enhancements are, in my humble opinion, a big step backward. If there was another email program other than outlook I could use you can be sure I'd head that direction.

Outlook 2013 IMAP - Incorrect Sent & Deleted folders mapped
Configured an IMAP account (iCloud) with Outlook 2013 but it is not picking up the correct Sent & Deleted Folders - it creates an additional "Sent Items" & "Deleted Items" folder. In Outlook 2010 you could then remap to the correct folders in advanced settings but this is not a feature of 2013. Any suggestions of how this can be rectified would be welcome - I have tried the below but with no luck;

Reoccurring calendar reminders not popping up for Outlook 2013
I am using Outlook 2013 on WIndows 8.1. When I set a calendar event that is reoccurring and a reminder time I am never alerted to that event with a popup reminder. If I create a single calendar event and a reminder time then I get the popup reminder.
Is there a missing setting or is this a bug that needs to be fixed? This is very annoying that it does not popup with a reminder. It works fine with Outlook 2010.

Outlook not forwarding to Gmail account
I have a user for whom I need to forward all messages to two Gmail accounts. As soon as the messages come in, they need to go out again. I have a rule set up in his Outlook 2007 to forward all messages to the Gmail accounts, but they're not going.
I assume there must be a server setting that's blocking this, but I don't know where to start looking.
Anyone have any good ideas on this one?

P.S. The Gmail accounts work. I can manually forward emails from his Inbox to the Gmail accounts. If I do it manually, they get there. If I trust the rule, they don't.

Outlook 2010 - Calendar Color Categories
I have someone who is editing the color category of a shared calendar to a person's name. The idea is that when the person is scheduled for a meeting or has an appointment, his/her name will then show up on the calendar as that color and everyone else can see it and knows what it is as well. Now the person who schedules that person can see the color on their local machine but when they confirm the appointment or meeting, it shows up clear on others who have access to that shared calendar.
Anyone hear of this before?
I have had the person scheduling to delete the names connected to that color and just leave the color names there but it still does not show the color to everyone else who views that calendar.

outlook mail
Running windows 8.1. Use mostly desktop view. Issue, about once a month or so, I get a huge batch, 500-600 sometimes 1200 emails back into my microsoft office Outlook inbox that have been previously deleted. As in permanently deleted. I dont know where or why this happens but it takes a couple of hours to remove them.
What is happening and how can i fix it. Is it related to outlook.com? My outlook.com inbox is identical but does not have the all the folders that i have in my office outlook mail box. Is it a sync issue and if so how can i turn off the sync.

How view message source in Outlook 2013 WITHOUT opening message
Was always possible in older versions, I've looked all over the web and can't find an answer, a lot of inaccurate info that does not really apply to Outlook 2013.
Is there a way to view source of messages WITHOUT opening the message?
It's easy enough if you open the message, but a lot of SPAM messages may be too dangerous to open to look at.

Office 365 and Syncing POP, Gmail, calendar
So, I got Office 365 because the ads led me to believe that I'd be able to have syncing across different computers and the online web access. The support articles are just not very clear on this issue. They say something like "if you don't have exchange
or 365".. then you can't sync, which leads me to believe that I should be able to sync with 365. Other places say no can do with POP. So, my question is, is there a way with office 365 on my Mac and PC to have the same calendar, contacts and email show up
on my different computers so I see the same thing no matter which computer I am using? I have 365 installed on two Macs, both of which have Windows VM, that also have 365 installed. I also downloaded and installed the new version of Outlook for the Mac. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer. -fkm-

Unable to print calendar for all four weeks of November 2014
In Outlook 2007, I go the the calendar tab, press Ctrl+P, select "Monthly Style" (with "Print exactly one month per page" and "Only print workdays" activated under Page Setup) and select the print range of 01-Nov-14 through 30-Nov-14.
No matter what I do, Outlook will only print the first three weeks of November.
If I de-select "Print exactly one month per page" and adjust the date range to 03-Nov-14 (a Monday) through 28-Nov-14 (a Friday), Outlook prints all four weeks of November (yeah!) AND the first week of December (booh!).
Any ideas how to get just the four weeks of November to print?

I want to move the folders (and their content) from Outlook 2010 up to outlook.com. I continue to get the following message when trying to move email
"Something happened while we were checking your PC, and we can't move to the next step. Please refresh the page, and try again."
It goes nowhere, time and time again. It suggests checking with this form - anyone had this problem?

CAANNOT START OUTLOOK 2013!
I recently (this week) downloaded the latest patch from Microsoft on Office. Since then, Outlook crashes on start-up. Nothing I have seen here is helpful.
How can I uninstall the patch as this is most likely what has caused Outlook to crash.

Email Hosting IMAP Sync
Is this correct? Microsoft Office 365 offers email hosting for you own personal domain name, which I can use in Outlook.com and Microsoft Office Outlook on the computer along with my android phone and android tablet?
I currently have a personal email accrount setup with my website but if I use IMAP if fills the webspace and the web-mail app is not that good.
If this is true which package is best for me as I can not see anything of this mentioned on plans page.
