Dear all,
I faced a strange problem today with importing contacts in Outlook 2013 via .pst file.
I used to have Office 2010 and I changed it about a month ago. I exported my contacts to a .pst file and then successfully imported in the new Outlook.
Yesterday I had to reinstall Windows 7 because of new hardware (much faster now, btw). Hence I installed Office Standard 2013 to the new 64-bit Win. Then I tried to import my old contacts from the old .pst file that I am still keeping.
For my surprise the subfolders are not being imported. Which is disaster since 95% of my contacts are sorted in subfolders of the "Contacts" folder. And I tried tens of times, I changed options (replace or do not replace duplicates) and I am sure that I
checked on "Include subfolders". No success.
In the preview which is on this step I see the subfolders. So they are there - it is not that they were not exported or something like that.
Please, anyone, if you know what might be the problem help me.
I suspect that these folders are actually successfully imported but for some reason are not shown in the "Contacts". I see the subfolders in the "Folders" section but not in "Contacts".
Thank you in advance!
