Unable to scroll in Outlook 2007 using Touch Mouse

After installing a Microsoft Touch mouse, I have discovered that I am unable to use the scroll function when in Outlook 2007.  The mouse seems to perform fine in all other applications including other Office 2007 applications. Please note the scroll function did work in Outlook 2007 immediately after I installed the hardware but after I installed the software for that mouse is when I lost the scroll function in Outlook.

Messages stuck in outbox, but can send the same message from Outlook365 via Internet Explorer 11

I am having problems sending messages from my home outlook account.  I create the message and hit send, it just sits in my outbox.  I have tried deleting my profile and re-adding it.  I have verified that the password is correct, and the setup passes its test.  Nothing I can do seems to work.  I can however, send the very same email to the very same contacts from Outlook on Internet Explorer 11.  Any suggestions to try?  Thanks this is frustrating.

How should I best bring e-mail to my new computer?

My old computer runs Outlook 2003 under Windows 7, whereas my new computer runs Windows 8.1. How should I best bring all the old e-mail to my new computer?

1) Install Outlook 2003 on the new computer and transfer the .pst file (compatibility issues?)

2) Export e-mail from Outlook 2003 and import it into the mail program provided with Windows 8.1 (or to a webmail service)

3) Downgrade my new computer from Windows 8.1 to Windows 7

Please advise, which solution do you recommend?

Regards, Carl-Olof

I noticed I can no longer modify Outlook 2010 accounts settings since installing the February 2015 patches.  I have isolated it to

KB2956128.  When I uninstall it, I can modify, when it comes back, it is greyed out.  Anyone else having this problem?

Unable to pin .oft to Outlook 2013 jump list

Hello,

I have a client who is unable to pin an email template to their Outlook 2013 Jump list in Windows 8.1.  I tried this on other computers and was able to do it, so I know it works.  The template files are located in their Templates directory (under their Appdata folder) but, I also tried it from their desktop.  When I right click and drag the template over the Outlook 2013 icon in their taskbar I get a red circle with a line through it.

Anyone have thoughts on how to fix this?

Thanks!

Links in forwarded email

When I forward an html email with hyperlinks in the text, for whatever reason, Outlook removes those links for the receiver (even if I send it to myself).  Does anyone know why this is happening, and how I can fix it?

More information:

I create newsletters using an online builder (Smore).  I send it to myself, then forward it out to different recipients when they need it.  I do not use the site's emailing service because I want it to be delivered from my network-whitelisted email address, and not "on behalf of" my personal email address (with which I purchased the account/license).  When I get the email from Smore, the links work fine.  When I forward it to myself or others, the links stop working, all except for the link to "View in Browser".

I am seriously hoping someone can help me with this issue.  Thanks in advance!!!

Open "link" to other Outlook folder in "same window" versus "new window"?

Good Afternoon!

One last question today - I discovered last week how to open up an Outlook folder in a recurring appointment "reminder" via hyperlinking.  This is pretty incredible and it's a real timesaver!  I one reminder now I can open all of these items via hyperlinking:  pertinent Outlook folder, target Windows Explorer folder, Excel file to input into.

The only annoyance is that the hyperlink to the Outlook folder opens up that folder in a totally separate Outlook window, which is a hassle.  When I manually click on the same folder within Outlook, it just opens it in the same window, as it were.

Is there a way to make the hyperlink open in the same, main window via a setting somewhere, instead?

Thank you!

Hi,

Almost two weeks ago, I tried to open my outlook 2013 version and it would not open.  It stated that two versions were running which did not make sense since there is only one version on my laptop.

I looked this up on the forum and did not find much. I do have icloud too if this makes a difference.

Does anyone have a solution for this problem?

Thanks for the help,

Michelle

Is there anyway to hold my calendar on the left hand side?

From Thunderbird to Outlook: same terrain, different views

I have to change from Thunderbird (version 31 or so) to Outlook. Running updated Win7; will install Office 2013 Pro over Office 2007 Home & Student first. How can I transfer all emails and keep the current folder structure? I need the histories as well as current communications.

Do I need a third-party program--and if I do, can anyone suggest a trouble-less program? Doesn't have to be free.

Thanks.

Outlook 2010 - Calendar (Font, Formatting Issues, Missing and Truncated Content)

$

My organization is on Exchange 2010 and we have several users that are reporting issues with Outlook calendar invites not updating correctly - both those that are created and those that are sent to users. Sometimes they are truncated, and sometimes the formatting distorts, fonts are not the same, hyperlinks are missing. This all occurs once the calendar events/appointments have been sent. If we add attachments to the calendar event/appointment those attachments are scattered all of the place or at times missing.

I have made sure that Office 2010 updates are current, I have uninstallated and reinstalled the entire suite and also repaired it.

Any feedback or assistance is greated appreciated. Thank you!

Creating Outlook Accounts

On my Windows 8.1 laptop I started Outlook and had it transfer contacts and old email from 3 accounts.  For some reason it's decided that I want them to be send only accounts and I can't find anyplace to change this.  I have to ask why anyone would set up a send only account and why would this be the default setting in Outlook?

How get Outlook 2010 to display a name instead of an email address for mail I receive?

$

A friend has recently started sending me text messages (from a phone) that I receive as email. The sending email address is of the form *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, and this is what Outlook 2010 displays for the sender's name. I'd like to have the sender's actual name displayed instead. (That name is not part of the email header on the messages I get. On those messages, both the "From" and "Return-Path" fields contain only the sending email address.)

I've set up an Outlook Address Book entry for the sender's email address, and in that Address Book entry I've given useful values for the Full Name, the File As, and the Display As fields. However, Outlook continues to show me only the email address for the sender when I get this kind of message.

How can I tell Outlook 2010 that when I get email from *** Email address is removed for privacy ***, it should be displayed as coming from, say, "Joe TextsTooMuch"?

Hello,

Have installed Outlook 365 on my laptop running latest Win8.1 with all updates.

Upon running, Outlook states that it is performing a first-time setup, then hangs (program not responding).

I used to have Office 2003 on this laptop.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

calendar user interface and adhd (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder)

$

In my organization (recently we have invested in O365) there is an employee with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder.

It is nearly impossible for him to work in Office 2013. 2010 is a little better. For him we have installed Outlook 2010, but there are still a few issues, that actually consume hours of his daily worktime.

Are there any ways to solve this?

This applies to Outlook 2010 and/or 2013, desktop.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

1 Main issue with Office 2013 is that the insterface is low on contrast. Is there any way to change this (without changing the Windows appearance - he does not need high contrast because of poor eyesight but to be abe to focus mentally and find things on the screen)?

---------------------------------------------------------------------

2 Calendar colouring

A) Calendars change colour when turned visible/unvisible/visible. That is, person A is green one day, but red the next day. Very confusing. The employee starts every Outlook session with re-colouring calendars in the "right" way.

B)  If other people use colouring for different categories in their shared calendars, the colours also show up in his calendar. The calendar of person A may in this way be green, pink and red, which is confusing since there may also be a person B wh has a pink calendar.

C) Only 9 colours in 2013 - but 15 in 2010. Why???? Really makes his sorting difficult.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

3 Calendar sorting

When starting Outlook, different calendars are visible "on top" of the other calendars. The employee wishes to always have the own main calendar "on top" when starting.

---------------------------------------------------------------------

4 Calendar "tabs"

When in overlapping view, the employee really dislikes the standard Outlook tabs, and wishes for a cleaner gui, such as Google calendar. This may seem like a minor issue, but for the employee it's not.

Outlook vs Google (tabs top vs "clean" top)

Thank you!
