Outlook archiving issue

Hi,

I'm trying to get Outlook (auto)archiving to work, but without success so far. I'm using a Dutch version of Outlook 2010 32-bit on Windows 7 in combination with an IMAP account. Archiving of my POP account works fine.    

When I start the archiving process manually, no mails get archived, because the modified date is more recent than the 2 month age limit I set for archiving. I applied the registry edit suggested on this website, but to no avail.  With this IgnoreLastModifiedDate change, I notice very strange behaviour: only mails that have been opened (and thus 'modified') today are archived.  Old mails (with a received date of over 6 months ago) remain in the folder without being archived.

Does someone recognize this behaviour, or does someone has an explanation/solution? I checked all the outlook archiving settings  to make sure they're not preventing the archiving process. Mails are also not exempted from archiving by any setting.

Microsoft Office Outlook 2010 error 0x800CCC0F

I have been having trouble receiving emails in Outlook. The error message reads: "Receiving reported error (0x800CCC0F) The connection to the server was interrupted. If this problem continues, contact your server administrator or Internet Service Provider." I contacted my Internet Service Provider and they said everything is working correctly on their end.  What can I do to get my emails?

Good day,

I have installed Microsoft outlook 2010, i am using 2 gmail accounts and 1 company email address. When I received an email from Gmail account I received more than onceSAME EMAIL  into my Microsoft Outlook, I use POP3  account type. In my Iphone I received only once 
How do I stop receiving same email twice. please help

Outlook 2013 syncs only Inbox from Outlook.com

I am trying to use my Outlook.com account in Outlook 2013, but am not having much success. I have set it up with default options (using EAS I guess). Outlook 2013 shows all the Outlook.com folders in the folder pane; however it downloads emails for the Inbox only. It does not sync any other folder (just says that there is nothing to show in them), and does not show any contacts / people or calendar entries from Outlook.com.

I have tried recreate the profile twice now but it's the same problem each time.

Outlook 2013 (Windows 8.1) Sync IMAP Issues

I have read and read and read. 

I can not understand or come up with a fix for this issue.

I have two profiles:

1. GMAIL- imap, all folders and account sync fine

2. Work - imap does not sync, it just says gets stuck

Does not sync in safe mode either

I have been dealing with this for now 3-4 months and it's a bit ridiculous

I saw some fixes in these forums which I tried and worked for a week.  I called Microsoft but they want to charge me 99.00 to help resolve my issue which I find upsetting being what I paid for Windows 8 and Office 13 Business

The fix used was going to:

Change Account

Advanced

Type in "INBOX" (all caps) in the Root Folder Path

The above worked and my emails synced with the above and now it doesn't again.

When I remove the "INBOX" from Root Folder Path, none of the folders sync.  Just thousands of emails in my inbox. But after initial sync doesn't sync again.

I am not an expert, I just expect my expensive software to work and to find a fix for issues with ease.

Outlook 2013: can't select a shared calender as default.

Hello,

Noticed a new quirk with Outlook 2013 in on premise setup with exchange 2013. When I open a shared calendar and de-select my own calendar, then close and re-open Outlook, it doesn't open back to the last calendar selected by itself. Instead it opens that calendar and my own, side by side. This was not the case in Outlook 2007. Any suggestions? I have seen articles saying to change the default data file under account settings, but this account is not an additional account it is just a shared calendar. I've also seen suggestions to simply drag the calendar to the top of the list... That doesn't work either. I've tried changing the sharing permissions to editor even with no luck. Any help would be appreciated.

One of my end-users laptop crashed.  I now need to install all their software however I don't have the DVD's for everything. 

I do have the license Key.  I know there was a place that we can go and download the software (I am looking for Microsoft Office 2010 Pro Plus and Microsoft Office Project Professional 2003).  

I was able to download another MS program a couple months ago however I did not bookmark the Microsoft web page.  I thought it was under my MCP page but I don't see where I can download software there. 

I was a member of TechNet for several years and was able to do to that site to download the software and now TechNet is defunct.  :( 

I do have the license keys I just need the software to reinstall it on the laptop for the end user. 

Any assistance on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Merge Conversations in Outlook 2013

For a busy office the conversation view is a required feature. It is possible to easily split a conversation by renaming the subject however in many cases it is required to JOIN 2 conversations. Often times to reconnect split conversations and sometimes to include a new related query or conversation.

This is probably the number 1 feature request I can see for current Exchange and Outlook email. It looks like a topic that gets discussed and shelved with no action by MS since conversation view first came about with no action or improvement in the process.

Note: There is a bug in the current Office 2013 package that if 2 people FW the same message one of the mails falls out of the conversation - even WITH the same subject line.

The simplest process would be a simple drag and drop tool that allows 2 conversations to merge. - Possibly renaming the subject of the joined conversation to avoid confusion down the line.

Alternative would be to edit an email Subject to join a conversation (one-by-one)

If anyone can suggest a workable workaround would love to hear it.

Unfortunately renaming a subject to the required Conversation subject does not work at all.

Bug in Outlook 2013 Conversation management on Forward email?

There seems to be a bug in the current Office 2013 Outlook package related to conversation view.

I received a mail that I forwarded to another individual - this email with subject FW: [Title] fell out of the conversation somehow.

In this case someone else had FW the same message and Title to me (I was the second one) so to there were 2 messages with title 

FW: [TITLE]

It looks like if multiple versions of the same conversation are visible with mails being sent using the  FW: feature then some of them fall out of the conversation view?

I would say this is a bug. If I am doing something wrong help me out pls.....

Delegate authorized but can't send on behalf of or reply on behalf of

i am an authorized delegate for my boss. I got an email saying I had full delegate rights. However, I can't send on behalf of or reply on half of my boss. Our emails go through Office 365 hosted by Go Daddy. Am I missing something?

Changed root folder path, permanently lost folders and messages?

Hello,

I have a puzzler for the Outlook wizards. I'm wondering if somebody can help me recover my colleague's lost folders and messages. The short version is that I changed the Root Folder Path setting in Outlook 2013 for his IMAP account, resulting in the loss of several nested folders and contained messages that were apparently not synced by IMAP. Reverting the setting did not recover the folders/messages!

Please bear with me on the explanation and please please do provide any relevant input that might help with this issue.

My colleague is using Outlook 2013 and had 2 IMAP accounts configured: 1 Gmail account and 1 other account (let's call it "Work"). At first, his issue was that several of his "Work" account folders nested under the Inbox were not syncing to his iPhone email client. I attempted to help by configuring IMAP folders in both applications.

The provider of the Work email specifies that the path for IMAP folders should be configured as "INBOX." Therefore I set this path on his iPhone and changed the Root Folder Path in Outlook 2013 for the Work account to the same, "INBOX".

Upon the change in Outlook 2013, his nested folders immediately disappeared, including all of the contained messages. I reverted the setting back to the default (blank), which restored only 1 folder with a handful of messages, one that apparently had been configured as an IMAP folder, but the rest of the folders were just gone!

!!! I had just eliminated the majority of my colleagues work email!

One important piece of information that I was given after the fact was that the disappeared folders from the Work account had been "dragged and dropped" there from the Gmail account folders that appeared in Outlook.

So where did the other folders and messages go?! Any help recovering the messages and (less importantly) folder structure would be greatly appreciated!

Outlook is opening attachments as read only

Since the latest Microsoft update, attachments opened from Outlook are "read only". What do I do to stop this, I am aware of the edit message button but I don't want to use that workaround.

How do I get rid of the autoselection of emails?

If I want to copy an email address from a sender or recipient, I cannot do this without opening a new email to them.

This is starting to annoy me, and I was wondering if there was a way to turn this feature off.

I try to select the "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" email address, but outlook marks the entire area for me.

Normally when you mark an area you can hold in your left mouse button and drag it over the words, etc. you want to select, but this doesn't work in outlook 2013 when it comes to emails.

Outlook 2010 constantly resets the sent mail folder for imap account

I'm experiencing a very annoying bug on Outlook 2010 when using an IMAP account. I have the sent folder that is synchronized with the server in which normally the mail would be placed after sending. I've made the necessary setting to"Save copy of sent messages in the Sent Items folder" and I selected the appropriate folder . And it works fine for a while. But as soon as I use the command to send file by email from another program (say word or excel or even right click a windows file -> Send to mail recepeient), after the file is sent, the folder is reset back to another Send Items folder from a local archive file, and of course the sent emails are not synced to the server anymore, and all the future sent items will be placed in this folder. Why is this happening? Why does Outlook reset the sent items folder like that?

I've tried to overcome this issue by creating a rule that moves the sent email to the proper imap folder after mail send, but of course that doesn't work if you're not online temporarily. The email will be put in outbox and wait until it has a connection, and then it will be sent without saving in the save folder because the rule only works when you click the send button, not when it leaves the outbox.

Please let me know how to fix this bug, it's basic functionality to save sent emails on the server and outlook can't even do that?

Office 2013 Not Starting

Good day,  New to this community hope you will be able to help me.

My outlook 2013 hangs on the splash screen saying Loading Profile.  I have tried varies solution on this forum without solving the issue.

I am connecting to an Exchange server via HTTP.

We have upgrade our firewall and dont know if it may be an certificate issue.

I have disabled all add in.

I have tried a clean boot.

I have deleted Reg entries.

Still only boots up in safe mode.  

I have deleted the OST file and created new profile.  Not winning.

I have deselected connect using SSL only but after a restart the option is selected again.

I am giving as much info as possible.

Outlook 2013 Search on Cloud Based Microsoft Exchange

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2013 on a Windows 8.1 system.  My e-mail is hosted by cloud based Microsoft Exchange.

I have lots of e-mail dating back to 2006.  In my inbox, I can see all of them, I just have to click on "Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange".

My issue is that if I search for a work that is in many e-mails, it originally finds 673 results, with the last result dated 02/18/14.  When I scroll to the bottom it diplays "Showing recent results...", and has a "More" button to click.  So I say good, I'll click it, and see the rest of the results.  When I click "More", the result flash, and then only shows 250 results thru 10/16/2014, and there is no "More" button to see more results.

I have already rebuilt the search index.  I have also gone into search options and unchecked the option "Improve search speed by limiting the number of results shown.  So here are my questions...

  1. Why does the search show less when I click "More"?
  2. What do I need to do to get it to display all results not just a limited amount?

outlook 2013 will not start,

as of early February I have not been able to start outlook.

 running windows 8.1

 have had the program for about a year. any ideas would be greatly appreciated

 i found the information below

 the error message states" Microsoft Outlook has stopped working Windows  will close and will notify you if a solution is available"
