Hi, running Microsoft Office Home & Business 2010 on Win 7 Pro. BT/Yahoo is my e-mail handler & Outlook is my mail client.
I am constantly getting Outlook Mail pop up windows asking me to confirm my password.
The window, headed Internet E-Mail says:-
“Enter your user name and password for the following server” The window displays my server (Mail.btinternet.com) correct user name (e-mail address) & password.
When clicking ‘OK’ sometimes it will download my mail, other times it pops up again with an error message
“Task ‘*** Email address is removed for privacy *** – Receiving’ reported error (0x800CCC92) : ‘Your e-mail server rejected your login. Verify your user name and password for this account in Account Settings. The server responded: -ERR [AUTH] (#MBR1213) Please verify your account by going
to https://login.yahoo.com”
I went to the server via browser log on and reset my password. Outlook mail then worked ok for a day, then it started all over again. Sometimes the problem goes away by itself, but invariably returns.
I complained to BT but they said it was an ‘Outlook’ problem.
